Diabetes and Weight Loss

There’s good news for Diabetics in a recent study by Kaiser Permanente Center for Health Research which  reports that people with Type 2 Diabetes who lose weight, especially soon after the disease is diagnosed can reduce the toll of the disease.  People who lost weight within 18 months of diagnosis were twice as likely to have both blood pressure and blood sugar under control.   For more information, see “Diabetes Care” the online journal of the American Diabetes Association.
