Mind Body Connection “Correction”

My friends love to hear stories about how hypnosis helps others so I’ll share one with you.

In February, 2003, when I was fairly new at this, Bob, a healthy young man came to me for help.  His broken arm had failed to heal for 9 months.  He claimed it was because early on, he heard about the principle of “non-union” ( a failure to grow back together) and he knew it would happen to him.  Now, he was at risk of losing his job and the doctor told him it needed to be repaired surgically.  Bob was beside himself.

I was still fairly new at this, less than confident, but willing to give it a try.  I charged him $20 for the session (friends and family rate for a newbie) and hoped not to hear from him again.  I did a visualization for healing the broken bone (the correction) and also did a “Preparing for Surgery” script to cover all my bases.

I saw Bob last Friday in my husband’s dental office. Bob was so excited about how that session had helped him over the years.  The broken arm healed without surgery;  he is able to feel totally relaxed at the dental office;  he did have surgery a few weeks ago (totally new injury). He remembered the words I used to prepare him for surgery 5+ years ago and he was completely relaxed, healed rapidly, and actually called his doctor after the surgery to ask if they had accidentally severed his nerves since he had no pain

I just love this profession!
