Our lives are hectic. Companies are asking employees to do more with less help and less time. Our “busy-ness” creates stress which not only feels uncomfortable but impacts our health. It’s also now known that sitting still for hours on end (sedentarism) leads to diabetes, obesity and a host of other health issues. Perhaps you’d like to program brief breaks into your day?
Set your alarm for a break every 2 hours. During some breaks, you may choose to do lunges, stretches or squats. At other times, you may choose to listen to this 2 ½ minute recording as you breathe and relax. It’s likely you’ll feel more peaceful, focused and be more productive.
Here are a few important suggestions for using these recordings:
Be in a comfortable place where you can safely close your eyes and relax without interruption. Your bedtime is a particularly good time to listen since the mind is very receptive as you are falling asleep.
There is no need to pay attention to each word; just relax and be in the presence of the music and words. It is fine to fall asleep while the recording is playing. Your mind will hear and remember what is helpful to you.
Use the CD four or five times weekly, more often if you wish. Many people listen daily and experience powerful positive results.
